No big-budgeted spectacles for the summer 2025 season!

Pawan Kalyan and Prabhas

Prabhas’s “The Raja Saab,” Pawan Kalyan’s “Hari Hara Veera Mallu,” and Chiranjeevi’s “Vishwambhara” have been in the making for a long time. The first two films have been in production for over three years, and all have had multiple release delays. Now, the industry is worrying about a lack of big movies in the crucial summer period.

“The Raja Saab” moved away from its intended release date – April 10, 2025. The theatrical business is likely to suffer significantly with the exit of Prabhas’s movie.

Pawan Kalyan’s “Hari Hara Veera Mallu” also announced its date as March 28, and the trade hoped that this film will be the right boost to the start of the summer season. Uncertainty surrounds the film’s release this summer or potential further delays. The distributors and exhibitors are hoping that if Pawan’s movie arrives in the summer, it will give the required push to the theatrical business because there will be tremendous craze for this since it is the actor’s first release after he became the deputy chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.

Chiranjeevi’s “Vishwambhara” is aiming for a May 9th release, but the makers have yet to confirm its date.

As of now, the summer 2025 period looks to be bereft of big-budgeted top star movies.

Nani’s “HIT 3,” Ravi Teja’s “Mass Jathara,” Manchu Vishnu’s “Kannappa,” Nithin’s “Robinhood,” and Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s “JACK” are the notable movies lined up for the summer 2025 holiday period, and all of these are mid-range films, not big-budgeted spectacles.
