Anaswara Rajan calls ‘Champion’ a memorable Telugu debut

Malayalam actress Anaswara Rajan, who has quickly risen in popularity with her impressive performances, is all set to make her Telugu debut with “Champion,” scheduled for release on December 25. Ahead of the film’s release, the actress shared her excitement and experiences about stepping into Telugu cinema.
Lucky debut
Anaswara Rajaan said she feels fortunate to enter Telugu cinema with a film produced by renowned banners like Swapna Cinema. She admitted that although she is not fluent in Telugu, the team ensured she felt comfortable throughout the shoot. Director Pradeep and the entire unit helped her with the language, enabling her to deliver her dialogues confidently. She also expressed happiness over the warm response Telugu audiences have shown to her work, especially the song ‘Giragira,’ which has already brought her immense joy.
An emotional story and a special character
Talking about Champion, Anaswara described the story as deeply emotional and impactful. “The film has all the elements of a memorable cinematic experience. I instantly connected with the character Chandrakala, a role I thoroughly enjoyed playing, as such stories are close to my heart.”
Working with Roshan and Telugu cinema experience
Anaswara had high praise for her co-star Roshan, calling him extremely sweet and supportive, especially during dialogue delivery and dance sequences. She also shared her admiration for the Telugu film industry. “Grandeur in filmmaking valuesand the encouraging nature of the filmmakers and producers are the best of the Telugu film industry,” she added. According to her, once an actor experiences Telugu cinema, it becomes hard not to return.

Hyderabad food, favourites, and upcoming projects
The actress said she loved the spicy food in Hyderabad, particularly the city’s famous biryani. When asked about her favourite Telugu films and stars, Anaswara named Ram Charan’s Magadheera as a film she has watched countless times and said she admires Allu Arjun the most among Telugu heroes.
On the work front, she revealed that she is also working on another film titled “Itlu Arjuna,” which she signed before “Champion,” though Champion will release first.
