I like Nithya Menon's acting, says Sharwanand

Hat-trick star Sharwanand is relaxed, off late.  He says that he is ready for multi-starrers. Rajamouli, Mani Ratnam and Puri Jagannadh are his dream directors he reveals in a casual chit chat. 

How different do you feel this birthday when compared to last year?

First of all, I am very happy.  After Express Raja, I am more relieved.  Kastha oopiri pilchukunna.I am happy that everybody is happy right from the producer to the distributors.I wanted to meet the media just like that.  I have always met you as part of movie promotion in the past. There is no agenda at all.

What are your plans this year?

I want to do more number of films. I want to spend more time listening to scripts. I never took gap even in the past because I wanted to take gap. I want to work more.

Who is your next producer?

Chinni, the brother of Kesineni Nani, will be my next producer.  It’s not finalized as to who will be the director.  Three different directors are working on three different scripts.  I can’t reveal the names of the directors because they are big names.

Any plans to produce a movie on your own?  

I don’t have any plans as of now.  

Nowadays, thrillers are working at the BO.  Have you got plans to act in a thriller?

No. Thriller is a genre which doesn’t find repeat audience.  But for a hero like me, repeat audiences are important. They have to be made on a low budget. It’s not that I won’t do a thriller. If something very interesting comes, I will act in such a movie.  

In the last many years, you have acted in films with good content.  Which all films are close to your heart?

Amma Cheppindi, Gamyam, Prasthanam, Andari Bandhuvaya, Run Raja Run, Vennela, Express Raja. 

Will you do a character with negative shades at this point of your career?

Definitely.  If the script is good, why not?

Why are you hiking your remuneration these days?

I don’t know why but my producer hike my fee without me asking for it (Laughs). Adento mari, nobody is paid more for no reason. Everybody gets what he/she deserves.

Who are your dream directors?

Rajamouli garu, Mani Ratnam garu. I also want to work with Puri Jagannadh garu.

Of all the heroines with whom you have worked, who do you think is the best performer?

Nithya Menon, undoubtedly. She is a very good actress.

What kind of films are coming your way nowadays?

Mostly, love stories are coming my way.

Like Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju?

No. I won’t do such a film again. I have already done a film. Why do it again?  (Laughs).

Finally, do you discuss career-related issues with your hero friends like Prabhas and Ram Charan?

No. We indulge in casual chat. We talk about things like ‘This story is good’, ‘This story is bad’, but not beyond that.
