Tell us about your role…
I play Apoorva, a crime novelist. She looks obedient, soft but also is quite daring. So connected with this role and the story from the moment Indraganti Mohan sir narrated to me.
What is your reaction when you heard that the film is skipping theatrical release?
The film has been made for theatrical experience only but the current situation is not in anyone’s hands. I am told that ‘V’ is the first major Telugu film to have a stream on Amazon Prime. So, I am kicked about this experience as well.
How do you select a film?
Never had any reservations for any role or movie. I am open to all genres and give a patient hear to the varied story narrations but I will agree to a project only if I am convinced that I could do justice to that particular role.
Gentleman, Ninnu Kori, and now V…. you seem to have a special relation with Nani?
I have developed a bond with Nani beyond films. He is a good friend. He is an inspiration to me in many aspects. We both talk about our stories, roles and he also gives his honest opinion about my choices.

Tell us about the lockdown phase?
Spending more time with my family has been the most enjoyable part of this lockdown. Plus, lockdown or not, I always try to learn new things or read something new whenever I find free time. I did the same.
Will you act in web series or a film specifically made for OTT?
Until now, no filmmaker has approached me OTT content. If someone comes with an offer, I will take a call based on that proposal.
What are the next films besides Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab?
Three are in the pipeline but will announce once they get confirmed.
Heard that you have plans to wield the megaphone?
I am known as an actress only. No producer will give me a chance to direct a film. I have to hone my skills, direct some short films before seriously attempting direction.
Have you reduced your remuneration due to the corona crisis?
My remuneration will never be a burden to my producers. I will always support producers.
Your take on nepotism row?
I have never faced any problem due to nepotism in any industry.
