Rakul Preet Singh

It is a big win for actress Rakul Preet Singh. News Broadcasting Standards Authority (NBSA) has found that the news channels at fault for airing slanderous reports against her in a drug case two months ago. The authority stated that news channels belonging to Zee Group, India Today, Aaj Tak, Times Now, and ABP News vilified her with baseless reports.

The authority directed Zee News and Zee Hindustan to offer her apologies for airing false reports against her in a drug case linked to actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. The channels will have to air an apology to Rakul on December 17, and all other channels are asked to remove videos from YouTube mentioning false reports about the actress in this case.

These channels said actress Rhea Chakraborty revealed to the officials that Rakul was involved in drugs. But Rhea shot down those reports mentioning she didn’t say anything as such.

Rakul had filed a case against the channels in Delhi High Court asking the court to order the channels to stop airing baseless reports about her. The court asked (NBSA) to respond, and the authority gave the order now.
