A crucial test for Janhvi Kapoor this weekend

Janhvi Kapoor has been waiting for a defining box-office hit in Bollywood since her debut with “Dhadak.” Though she consistently bagged good offers, most of her films either premiered directly on OTT or failed to make a strong mark in theaters.

Now, she has two theatrical releases lined up this year, the first being “Param Sundari”, which arrives in cinemas on August 29, 2025. In this romantic drama, Janhvi plays a Malayali girl opposite Sidharth Malhotra. The film has already built solid buzz, with its song “Pardesiya” going viral. Janhvi and Sidharth also went on a nationwide promotional tour, boosting anticipation further.

All eyes are now on whether this positive momentum will finally translate into the much-needed box-office success for her.

Later this year, she will be seen in another Bollywood outing, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. On the Telugu front, Janhvi is busy shooting alongside Ram Charan for “Peddi.”
