Actor Taraka Ratna passes away

Actor Nandamuri Taraka Ratna is no more. After 23 days of treatment at Bangalore’s Narayana Hospital, he passed away on Saturday evening. He was 39 years old and was survived by his wife and daughter.

Taraka Ratna travelled to Kuppam in Andhra Pradesh on January 27 to take part in Telugu Desam leader Lokesh’s Padayatra but collapsed after only a short distance due to a heart attack. He received initial care at a local hospital before being moved for additional care to a hospital in Bangalore.

To save him, a foreign medical team also arrived. The doctors could not save him despite their massive efforts for 23 days.

Taraka Ratna was the grandson of NT Rama Rao and son of Nandamuri Mohana Krishna. He made debut as an actor in 2002’s ‘Okato Number Kurradu’. He acted in about 20 Telugu films.
