Adipurush posts massive number in its first weekend

“Adipurush,” which was released worldwide on Friday, received mixed reviews and was subjected to trolling and criticism for distorting the epic Ramayana. Om Raut, the film’s director, and the dialogue writers faced a lot of criticism. Despite these issues, “Adipurush” dominated the box office in its first weekend.

In Telugu states, the Telugu version grossed more than Rs 100 crore in three days. In Nizam, the film earned a whopping Rs 29 crore share in its first weekend, making it the second best opening film ever.

The film grossed $2.5 million in the United States (Telugu and Hindi versions combined).

The Hindi version, on the other hand, raked in nearly Rs 100 crore nett in its first weekend, making it one of the all-time biggest openers.

The film grossed a lot of money during its first weekend of release. However, it is too early to declare the film a blockbuster because it must run for two weeks to recoup all costs.

Whatever the final box office figures are, Prabhas has once again demonstrated that he can draw audiences even if the film is only average. The success of the film increased his stardom in North India.
