Adivi Sesh’s ‘Dacoit’ locks Ugadi 2026 release

Adivi Sesh’s long-in-the-making film “Dacoit” has finally locked its new release date. After being postponed from its earlier Christmas 2025 slot, the film is now set to hit theaters on March 19, 2026, coinciding with Ugadi festival.

Touted as an intense love-revenge drama, “Dacoit” marks the directorial debut of cinematographer Shaniel Deo. The makers unveiled a new poster today featuring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur in the middle of a high-octane action sequence, confirming the new release date.

Adivi Sesh plays the lead role, while Mrunal Thakur appears as Juliet. Notably, acclaimed Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap is making his Telugu acting debut, portraying a cop in the film.

Produced by Supriya Yarlagadda and co-produced by Suniel Narang, “Dacoit” is a large-scale cinematic venture presented by Annapurna Studios.
