After Kalki’s success, Game Changer, Devara, and Pushpa 2 are in focus

The latter half of 2024 commenced with a huge bang. “Kalki 2898 AD” achieved a remarkable feat by earning an astounding amount of over Rs 600 crores in a mere six days. It has already cemented its position as one of the highest-grossing films of all time.

Prabhas has once again demonstrated his ability to generate massive revenue at the box office. The Telugu film industry celebrated the end of a period of low box office returns with the successful collections.

Currently, attention is focused on the upcoming trio of pan-Indian movies from the Telugu film industry that are scheduled to be released in theaters later this year.

The films “Devara: Part 1”, “Game Changer”, and “Pushpa 2” will be released in theaters later this year, in the specified order. Tollywood is heavily betting on these films due to their significant anticipation and buzz.

Devara Part 1

“Devara Part 1,” featuring NTR and directed by Koratala Siva, generated hype with its teaser preview and first song. The movie, starring Janhvi Kapoor as the female protagonist and Saif Ali Khan as the antagonist, certainly possesses craze  across India. Karan Johar, a prominent filmmaker in Bollywood, agreed to present the movie in North India. The film, helmed by Koratala Siva, is slated for release on September 27, 2024.

Game Changer

“Game Changer” is a highly anticipated Telugu film starring Ram Charan in the role of an IAS officer, which has garnered a lot of attention from audiences across India. Director Shankar is the OG when it comes to delivering highly successful movies that appeal to pan-Indian audiences. He has devoted several years to creating this film in order to make it exceptionally remarkable and visually stunning. Kiara Advani portrays the primary female protagonist, while SJ Suryah assumes the role of the antagonist. The initial track, titled “Jaragandi,” has been released. The film’s release date has not yet been announced.

Pusphpa 2: The Rule

Undoubtedly, “Pushpa 2” has generated more anticipation than any of these three major films, primarily due to the immense success of its predecessor in North India and the viral popularity of its songs, particularly “Sooseki”. The film is directed by Sukumar and features Allu Arjun as Pushpa Raj and Rashmika as Sreevalli.

The film achieved a record-breaking OTT deal even before its release. This demonstrates the extent of the hype surrounding this movie. The release date for “Pushpa 2” has been set for December 6, 2024.
