Nandamuri Balakrishna, NTR, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Pragya Jaiswal, Sai Dharam Tej and other Telugu stars expressed shock at the plane crash in Ahmedabad. They offered prayers for those affected. Air India flight AI 171 from Ahmedabad to London, Gatwick, was involved in a crash shortly after takeoff, outside the airport. There were 242 passengers on board the plane. Five medical students died and many suffered injuries after flight crashed into the hostel of the BJ Medical College.

Balakrishna expressed his grief: “The plane crash in Gujarat is a terrible tragedy. An unspeakable tragedy. It has shocked the entire nation. It is sad that Indians as well as foreigners have lost their lives in this terrible accident. It is heartbreaking that along with the passengers and crew, some others have lost their lives at the scene of the plane crash. Let us stand by the Centre at every corner in this national disaster. I express my deepest sympathies and condolences to the families of the deceased.”
NTR wrote: “Deeply saddened by the Ahmedabad Air India flight crash. Prayers and strength to everyone affected. My thoughts are with the passengers, crew members, and their families.”
Ram Charan wrote: “Deeply saddened to know about the unfortunate plane crash in Ahmedabad. My prayers are with all the passengers, crew on board, the affected and their families.”
