Ajith Kumar is one of the biggest superstars in Tamil cinema. However, his Telugu market is not very large. So, his films are having difficulty finding producers for the Telugu version. His upcoming film, ‘Thunivu,’ will be released in theatres for Sankranthi.
Finally, Radha Krishna Entertainments and IVY Productions have acquired Telugu theatrical rights for the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. In Telugu states, the film will compete with Balakrishna’s ‘Veera Simha Reddy,’ Chiranjeevi’s ‘Waltair Veerayya,’ and Vijay’s ‘Vaarasudu.’
‘Thunivu’ means tenacity or bravery. We’ll have to wait and see if the Telugu dubbed version keeps the same title or gets a new one.
The film was directed by H Vinoth. The director is best known for his work of Karthi’s ‘Khaaki.’
