After months of relative calm between the fanbases of Allu Arjun and Pawan Kalyan, an ugly meme war has once again erupted on social media.

Following the controversy surrounding the “Pushpa 2” premiere, the situation had been de-escalated thanks to statements from both sides. It must be remembered that Allu Arjun was briefly arrested due to a stampede incident at Sandhya theater in December 2024.

Pawan Kalyan publicly remarked that the incident should have been handled with collective responsibility of the ‘Pushpa 2’ team rather than singling out Allu Arjun. In response, both Allu Arjun and Allu Aravind made conciliatory statements, signaling a truce and avoiding further friction.

Their rivalry, which reportedly began after Allu Arjun supported a YSRCP candidate during elections—against the political interests of Pawan Kalyan—had led to a prolonged phase of cold relations. However, the recent exchange of goodwill was seen as a step towards healing that rift, even if a complete reconciliation had not occurred.

Allu Arjun is currently occupied with director Atlee’s film and has been frequently spotted in Mumbai. Meanwhile, following Pawan Kalyan’s press meet in Hyderabad and the pre-release event of “Hari Hara Veera Mallu,” tensions flared again.

A few self-proclaimed Allu Arjun fans began trolling Pawan Kalyan on X.com, even going as far as to post distasteful memes involving him and his wife, Anna Lezhneva. This provoked an immediate backlash from Pawan Kalyan’s fans, who retaliated with equally harsh and inappropriate content targeting Allu Arjun.

Some of these exchanges escalated beyond online banter, with users taking screenshots of offensive posts and filing formal complaints with cyber police. As a result, several fan handles associated with Allu Arjun have reportedly been deactivated.

The incident serves as a reminder that fan wars, when unchecked, can quickly spiral into toxic and harmful territory, overshadowing the goodwill and efforts made by the stars themselves.
