Allu Arjun took the new moniker of ‘Icon’ star but his ‘Icon’ project is not taking off. The film is constantly running into trouble. The film was shelved earlier after the announcement. But again, it was revived a couple of months ago. Strongly, the latest developments indicate that the film is not going to kick start its shooting any time soon.
After the completion of ‘Pushpa The Rise’, Allu Arjun is contemplating beginning a film in the direction of Boyapati for his home banner – Geetha Arts. If Boyapati delivers a blockbuster with ‘Akhanda’, their new film will immediately start rolling. On the other hand, his ‘Icon’ film has been put on hold.
Allu Arjun and producer Dil Raju had announced a film named ‘Icon’ with much fanfare three years ago. Allu Arjun said he was super excited with the script of director Sriram Venu’s ‘Icon’. Trivikram’s ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramlloo’, Sukumar’s ‘Pushpa’, and Sriram Venu’s ‘Icon’ were announced around the same time. Somehow, Allu Arjun put aside ‘Icon’ and took up Trivikram and Sukumar’s movies.
Meanwhile, Sriram Venu has completed and released ‘Vakeel Saab’ starring Pawan Kalyan. After the success of ‘Vakeel Saab’, Bunny has shown interest in working for ‘Icon’. But he is said to have informed Sriram Venu to look for other opportunities.
