Amitabh Bachchan shares pics from ‘Kalki 2’ sets

We recently reported that the regular shooting of “Kalki 2”, the sequel to “Kalki 2898 AD”, began on a specially erected set in Shankarapally, Hyderabad. The latest schedule is currently progressing with two acting legends, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan, participating in it.

Today, Amitabh Bachchan took to his blog to share pictures from the sets. He mentioned that he missed greeting his fans who gather every Sunday outside the gate of his Mumbai residence, as he has been busy shooting for this film. He also expressed happiness about sharing screen space with Kamal Haasan after many decades.

The duo was last seen together in the 1985 Hindi film Giraftaar.

“Meeting up with the great KAMAL HAASAN … we shall be working together after ages .. last in Giraftar .. Kalki 2 begun the work,” Amitabh Bachchan wrote on his blog while sharing stills from the shoot.

Amitabh Bachchan reprises his role as Ashwattama, the immortal warrior from the Mahabharata. The film features Prabhas in the titular role, along with another character, while Kamal Haasan plays the antagonist Yashkin.

“Kalki 2” is being directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by C. Ashwini Dutt under the banner of Vyjayanthi Movies, with Swapna Dutt and Priyanka Dutt serving as co-producers.
