Anantapur Urban MLA denies abusing NTR, claims audio clip is fake
A leaked audio clip, allegedly featuring Prasad Daggupati, Telugu Desam Party MLA from Anantapur Urban, has stirred controversy. In the clip, a voice laced with expletives is heard targeting actor Jr NTR, claiming efforts would be made to ensure “War 2” flops.
The alleged voice also refers to past tensions, accusing Jr NTR of using derogatory words against Nara Lokesh, minister and son of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. The audio quickly went viral, drawing sharp reactions from Nandamuri fans, particularly Jr NTR’s supporters, who expressed outrage at the MLA.
In response, Prasad Daggupati released a video statement on X.com, denying the allegations. He claimed the clip was fabricated as part of local constituency politics and insisted the voice was not his. However, fans argue that the voice bears a strong resemblance.
It is worth noting that Jr NTR and Nara Lokesh have long shared a strained relationship.
