Lately, Anushka Shetty has cut down on acting assignments. After much thinking, Anushka has agreed to do a film for UV Creations’ new production. The romantic tale was planned to begin in May 2021 but the project has temporarily been put on hold due to a pandemic situation. It will only begin after August.
Said to be a romantic tale, the film is to be directed by Mahesh P of ‘Raa Raa Krishnayya’. Jathi Ratnalu fame Naveen Polishetty has agreed to play the male lead opposite Anushka in this film.
Given the current COVID-19 situation, Anushka will not have a release this year.
Lately, she is releasing only one film in a year. In 2018, ‘Bhaagamathie’ came out and in 2019, she made a cameo appearance in ‘Sye Raa’. In 2020, the thriller ‘Nishabadham’ had a direct release on Amazon Prime Video. In the last three years, she appeared in three films only.
