April 2023 packed with multiple releases

The summer season in Tollywood will officially begin with Nani’s ‘Dasara’ on the last Friday of March. Several small and mid-budget films have announced April release dates. Every Friday in April 2023, multiple films will compete against each other. “Dasara,” starring Nani, will be released in theatres on March 30.

In April, three films will compete on the first Friday.

Ravi Teja’s “Ravanasura” will be released in theatres on April 7th. This will be one of the month’s most popular films. The film, directed by Sudheer Varma, is an action thriller. It stars five different heroines. Teja’s ‘Ahimsa’ and “Meter” are competing on the same day (April 7). ‘Ahimsa’ stars Rana’s brother Abhiram as the hero, and ‘Meter’ stars Kiran Abbavaram.

“Shaakuntalam,” starring Samantha, will be released in theatres worldwide on April 14. The film is a big-budget pan-Indian project directed by Gunasekhar. Two dubbed films, “Bichagadu 2” and “Rudrudu 2,” are releasing on the same day. Because it is the sequel to the blockbuster “Bichagadu 2” carries some expectations.

“Virupaksha,” starring Sai Dharam Tej, will be released in theatres on April 21st. The teaser for the mystic thriller has created quite a stir. No other film, however, will be able to compete with it.

“Agent” is one of the most eagerly anticipated films. The spy thriller, directed by Surender Reddy and starring Akhil Akkineni, will kickstart the trend of espionage dramas in Tollywood. The film will compete with Mani Ratnam’s pan-India blockbuster “PS 2,” which will be released on April 28. It is the sequel to Mani Ratnam’s highly successful “PS 1” film.
