Article 370 crowned Best Film at 72nd National Film Awards

The winners of the 72nd National Film Awards were announced on Saturday, honoring the finest achievements in Indian cinema for 2024 across languages and genres.

“Article 370” emerged as one of the biggest winners, taking home the Best Feature Film award.

The film’s lead actress, Yami Gautam, was named Best Actress for her powerful performance. The Best Actor award was shared by Kartik Aaryan for “Chandu Champion” and Mammootty for the Malayalam film “Bramayugam.”

Tamil filmmaker Rajkumar Periasamy won the Best Director award for “Amaran.”

In the music categories, G. V. Prakash Kumar received the Best Background Music award for Amaran, while Shashwat Sachdev won Best Music Direction for “Article 370.”
