Beast and Money Heist’s connection: Makers say nay

Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Beast’ trailer received a good response. But netizens have compared the film’s premise with Netflix’s international hit series, Money Heist.

In ‘Money Heist’, a group of thieves attempts to carry out a robbery and lock themselves in the Royal Mint of Spain. A police officer goes on a mission to nab the mastermind.

In ‘Beast’, a mall gets hijacked by a group of terrorists, and a soldier, played by Vijay, is called on for the mission to free the hostages.

The storylines seem to be nearly the same.

But director Nelson Dileep Kumar reportedly denied copying the Money Heist. ‘Beast’ will hit the theaters on April 13. Pooja Hegde plays the female lead.
