Biker continues to hold its edge over Raakaasa
On its opening day, “Raakaasa,” starring Sangeeth Shobhan, posted better numbers than Sharwanand’s “Biker.” Despite receiving comparatively better reviews from critics and websites, Sharwanand’s sports drama lagged behind “Raakaasa” during the first weekend in terms of collections.
However, “Raakaasa” could sustain its momentum only for the initial three days and has since seen a sharp drop in performance.
In contrast, “Biker” picked up pace after the first weekend, registering a steady rise in collections. It has continued to maintain its edge over “Raakaasa” through Monday, Tuesday, and now Wednesday as well.
Current trends on BookMyShow, along with overall domestic box office figures, indicate that “Biker” is gradually gaining traction and holding steady.
Directed by Abhilash Reddy, “Biker” is touted as India’s first motocross-based film. It stars Malavika Nair as the female lead, with Rajasekhar playing Sharwanand’s father.
