Tamil star Vijay recently floated his political party, TVK, and announced that it will contest all seats in the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. He also declared that he would quit acting after completing his current commitments. Since then, rival parties have stepped up their criticism.
His final film, “Jana Nayagan”, has already run into controversy and legal hurdles, reportedly leading to a postponement of its release.
Now, a BJP leader has sparked fresh controversy by making remarks about Vijay’s alleged closeness with actress Trisha.
In a sharp statement, the leader said Vijay should “step out of his house” and move on from his association with Trisha to understand reality. The comment quickly triggered reactions on social media, with fans terming it a personal attack.
Neither Vijay nor Trisha has responded to the remarks so far. The two actors have worked together in multiple films, including Vijay’s recent releases “Leo” and “The Greatest of All Time (GOAT)”. Vijay is married to Sangeetha and has two grown-up children.
