Ajay Bhupathi’s “Mangalavaaram” received favorable reviews. It also became the first choice for audiences last weekend, despite several films competing for attention. While the film did okay on the first two days, it struggled on the crucial Sunday due to Cricket World Cup final game.
Generally, films that receive better feedback make a lot of money on the first Sunday because it is a holiday for everyone. However, the cricket match ruined the film’s chances.
“Mangalavaaram,” starring Payal Rajput as a woman with a disorder, will need to perform well during the week and the following weekend in order to make a profit.
Other releases, on the other hand, such as “Spark“, “Anveshi”, “My Name Is Shruti” and “Sapta Saagaralu Dhaati Side B”, bombed at the box office.
