Superstar Mahesh Babu’s ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ had set a new record on Telugu Television when it premiered on the occasion of Ugadi festival this year.
‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ was not only a huge blockbuster at the ticket window, it was a roaring success on the small screen. That was the highest record viewership for any Telugu film in the last 15 years.
Eight months after its theatrical release, Allu Arjun starrer Trivikram’s ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramloo’ is now premiering on the small screen. The film premieres on Sunday evening on Gemini TV. Now, all eyes on its TV record. Can Allu Arjun beat the record set by Mahesh Babu?
At the box-office, when Mahesh Babu’s ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ clashed with Allu Arjun’s ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramloo’, the latter won hands down. Will Bunny repeat the same magic on the small screen or Mahesh Babu would retain his record? We have to wait for another 10 days to know the ratings.
Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun don’t share a friendship between them. Their films were to clash directly during Sankranthi but industry bigwigs averted it by making a compromise formula.
