Sonakshi Sinha, one of Bollywood’s well-known faces, is now stepping into Tollywood with “Jatadhara”, co-starring Sudheer Babu. Although her Bollywood stardom isn’t as soaring as it was a decade ago, she continues to secure noteworthy projects in Hindi cinema.
In “Jatadhara,” a Telugu-Hindi bilingual, Sonakshi takes on a distinctive role of Dhana Pisaschi, a character that blends both allure and menace. She appears as a demonic entity as well as a seductive woman, with these contrasting shades expected to intrigue audiences.
Interestingly, Sonakshi was earlier approached to act opposite several top Telugu stars but chose not to take those offers. Now, she marks her Telugu debut alongside Sudheer Babu.
The film hits theaters this weekend, clashing with Rashmika Mandanna’s “The Girlfriend.”
Whether “Jatadhara” will help Sonakshi Sinha establish her mark in Tollywood remains to be seen.
