The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a closure report in the death case of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, ruling out any foul play.

Submitted in a Mumbai court, the report concludes that Sushant’s death was a case of suicide, bringing an end to the prolonged investigation that began in June 2020.

Sushant’s tragic passing had sparked nationwide debates, media trials, and intense speculation about the circumstances surrounding his death. His then-girlfriend, actress Rhea Chakraborty, was accused of abetment to suicide, financial fraud, and mental harassment in a FIR filed against her and others. In response, Rhea filed a counter-complaint in Mumbai, alleging that Sushant’s sisters had procured a fake medical prescription for him.

After an extensive probe, the CBI found no evidence to support the claims of foul play and officially cleared Rhea Chakraborty of any wrongdoing.
