Characters get attention, not looks: Sai Pallavi

Sai Pallavi was recently seen in “Thandel,” where she starred opposite Naga Chaitanya. While she hasn’t announced her next Telugu project yet, her name continues to be linked with several high-profile films.

Meanwhile, an old video of the actress discussing her appearance in films has resurfaced and is gaining renewed attention.

In the clip, Pallavi reaffirms her commitment to wearing little or no makeup on screen.

Explaining her approach, she shared that although she occasionally wears makeup off-screen, she chooses a more natural look in her films to stay true to the characters she portrays. Often cast as everyday or middle-class women, Pallavi believes that minimal makeup helps her maintain authenticity.

“Ultimately, it’s how the character is written—how strong it is—that matters more than looks. If the character is strong, the looks don’t matter,” she emphasized.
