Megastar with Pulagam and Ravi Padi

Megastar Chiranjeevi recently unveiled the second edition of “Master of Suspense Hitchcock,” a Telugu book.

In commemoration of Alfred Hitchcok’s 125th birth anniversary and the centenary of his inaugural film’s release, senior journalist and film writer Pulagam Chinnarayana, in collaboration with IRTS official Ravi Padi, authored this book.

The first edition, launched on December 18, 2024, sold out in five days, leading to the publication of a second edition featuring new additions.

Chiranjeevi, enthralled by the book, demonstrated a strong desire to read it. He praised the initiative to present such a work in Telugu, stating, “I watched several of Hitchcock’s films during my collegiate years. I would like to read this book during my leisure time in the next ten to fifteen days. It is noteworthy to observe a publication concerning a cinematic icon such as Hitchcock in Telugu. Pulagam Chinnarayana and Ravi Padi ought to persist in their endeavors to present such invaluable works to readers.”

Esteemed novelist Malladi Venkata Krishnamurthy and acclaimed filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma both provided forewords for the book.

Significantly, Krishnamurthy, for the first time in his career, also launched a podcast, commending it. Master of Suspense Hitchcock is a compilation of 62 essays authored by 45 directors, seven authors, and ten journalists, serving as an excellent resource for movie aficionados.
