‘Kida,’ directed by Tamil filmmaker RA Venkat, received critical acclaim. Sravanthi Ravikshore, a well-known Telugu cinema producer, produced the film. It is now being released in Telugu under the title “Deepavali.”
RA Venkat expresses gratitude to Sravanthi Ravikshore for giving him the opportunity to make this film.
“After finishing the script of Deepavali, I told producer Chukkapalli Venu sir, whom I knew, and he recommended Ravikishore sir. I then emailed him a voice clip of the script, and he quickly agreed to take on the assignment. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that a top producer like him had signed me,” Venkat remarked.
“Regardless of the film’s scale and grandeur, the emotional core strikes a chord with the audience. In the case of Deepavali, the central figure is a grandfather, his grandson, and a goat. It is accompanied by powerful emotions,” he continued.
Many film festivals screened the film. “Deepavali” was sent to international film festivals for screenings and got standing ovations at the International Film Festival of India, Goa, and the 20th Chennai International Film Festival, where it won Best Film and Best Actor accolades.”
