
KV Anand, who directed films like ‘Rangam’ and ‘Veedokkade’, is no more. He died of a heart attack. He was 54.
Anand began his career as a cinematographer and went to handle the camera for blockbusters such as ‘Prema Desam’, ‘Oke Okkadu’, ‘Josh’ (Hindi), Shivaji, ‘Khakee’ (Hindi), and ‘Boys’.
His second directorial film, Ko (Rangam in Telugu), was a smash hit. He had directed seven films that include Suriya’s ‘Brothers’ and Dhanush’s ‘Anekudu’.
Allu Arjun paid a tribute to Anand, ”Just woke up to this sad news that Dir KV Anand garu is no more. Wonderful cameraman , a brilliant director, and a very nice gentleman. Sir, you will always be remembered & missed. Condolences to the near, dear & family. Rest in Peace Sir”.
