Draupathi 2: Rakshana Induchoodan’s first look unveiled

The makers of the Tamil–Telugu historical epic “Draupathi 2” have unveiled the powerful first look of Rakshana Induchoodan as Draupathi Devi. Her character stands at a pivotal point in director Mohan G.’s narrative, adding emotional weight and dramatic intensity to the sequel.

Produced by Chola Chakravarthy (Netaji Productions) in association with G. M Film Corporation, Draupathi 2 expands the world created in the 2020 blockbuster Draupathi. Set in the 14th century, the film revisits a turbulent era marked by the brutal reign of Hoysala emperor Veera Vallalar III, the valour of the Kadavarayas of Sendhamangalam, and the upheavals brought by the Mughal invasion of Tamil Nadu. Within this vast historical landscape, the introduction of Draupathi Devi forms a crucial emotional bridge between the first film and this more ambitious sequel.

The first look showcases Rakshana Induchoodan in a dignified, powerful avatar—embodying cultural depth, resilience, and grace. Her presence is expected to bring a strong feminine dimension to the story’s core.

The film stars Richard Rishi alongside Rakshana, with a robust supporting cast including Natti Natraj, Y. G. Mahendran, Nadodigal Barani, Saravana Subbiah, Vel Ramamoorthy, Siraj Johnny, Dinesh Lamba, Ganesh Gaurang, Divi, Devayani Sharma, and Arunodayan.

With post-production underway, the makers plan to release more promotional material soon as the film gears up for its theatrical release.
