‘Drushyam 2’ is all set for a release. Producer Suresh Babu had earlier negotiated with Disney+HotStar for a direct-OTT release, but it seems the deal could not fall through. The latest we hear is that the film will be streamed on Amazon Prime.
Directed by Jeethu Joseph, ‘Drushyam 2’ stars Venkatesh in the lead role and Meena as his wife. Nadhiya, Esther Anil, and Naresh also return to this sequel of ‘Drushyam’. The film wrapped the shooting long back. As per our sources, this will be Venkatesh’s second direct-OTT release on Amazon Prime Video this year after ‘Narappa’.
Venkatesh has ‘F3’ on the sets, which is slated to hit the theaters on Feb 18, 2022.
‘Drushyam 2’ is also the remake of a Malayalam film of the same name that starred Mohanlal. The Malayalam film also had a premiere on Amazon Prime.
