Exclusive: ‘Daaku Maharaaj’ features an ‘Akhanda’ angle!

Daaku Maharaaj

Nandamuri Balakrishna has completed his work in his latest film, Daaku Maharaaj, which is set for release on January 12, 2025, globally. The team has already started promoting it with the release of two songs and a teaser.

Here’s our exclusive information about this film. According to our sources, the makers of “Daaku Maharaaj” have incorporated some of the elements of “Akhanda,” Balayya’s previous blockbuster.

In “Akhanda,” Balayya played dual roles—a district collector and an aghora, and it also featured a child sentiment. In “Daaku Maharaaj,” Balayya doesn’t play two roles but a role with dual shades, and he appears as a district collector in a crucial part of the story.

With a recently released song “Chinni,” it is also evident that the film has a child sentiment like “Akhanda” has. Pragya Jaiswal, who also featured in Akhanda, is another common element.

The makers of “Daaku Maharaaj” recently said the film will be the best in Balayya’s career, and it possesses rich frames and a grand setting that we have not seen in the actor’s in any of his recent frames. It carries high expectations, and Balakrishna has a long history of delivering blockbusters during the Sankranthi festival season.

Bobby and Balakrishna

“Daaku Maharaaj” is directed by Bobby and produced by Naga Vamsi with Thaman providing the music. Shraddha Srinath, Urvashi Rautela, Pragya Jaiswal and Chandini Chowdhary play the female lead.
