Even before the lockdown is lifted in Telangana, some filmmakers have resumed the movie shootings. They are filming their stories during day time. One of such films is director Maruthi’s new film.
Yes, you read it right. Maruthi has launched a quickie, that features ‘Ek Mini Katha’ fame Santosh Shobhan and Mehreen as the main lead.
Maruthi has written a script during the lockdown period and he is planning to wrap this ‘quickie’ in flat 30 days. He has already begun shooting it in the Aluminum factory in Hyderabad following all COVID-19 protocols.
Since it is a small-budgeted concept-oriented flick, a big crew is not needed.
Santosh Shobhan is getting a lot of offers for concept-oriented stories. As we have written earlier Mehreen is taking up new projects since her wedding date has been postponed to 2022. This is her first film post the engagement to her boyfriend Bhavya Bishnoi.

Maruthi has a film titled ‘Pakka Commercial’ starring Gopichand and Raashi Khanna on the sets. Due to the pandemic, the film’s shoot has been halted. Gopichand will have to complete his other sports drama ‘Seetimaarr’. Hence, Maruthi is making this quickie. He will resume ‘Pakka Commercial’ in August or September.
