Exclusive: Netflix buys Wild Dog for 27 Cr

Streaming giant Netflix has bought the rights of a big starrer Nagarjuna’s ‘Wild Dog’. The film will directly stream on this OTT platform towards the end of this month.

This is old news. The exclusive update is that the company bought the rights for a whopping Rs 27 crore. A great deal for the producer! Producer Niranjan Reddy can also sell satellite TV rights. So, he will gain another Rs 10 crore. 

This is Netflix’s first big Telugu movie that bought rights for the direct OTT release.

Netflix earlier bought the rights of small-budgeted movies like ‘Uma Maheshwara Ugra Roopasya’ and Keerthy Suresh’s ‘Miss India’.

‘Wild Dog’ is an action thriller involving the National Investigation Agency’s operations. Nagarjuna plays the role of ACP Vijay Varma, whose given name is Wild Dog. Dia Mirza is the female lead. Directed by Ahishor Solomon, the film has Niranjan Reddy and Anvesh Reddy as producers.
