Exclusive: Peddi shoot paused, item song delayed

The shooting of “Peddi,” starring Ram Charan, has been temporarily halted for a week, putting the film’s immediate schedule on pause.

The team had initially planned to shoot a special item song this week. However, after evaluating multiple factors, Ram Charan and the producers decided to defer the plan. The actor has taken a short break for personal commitments, prompting the makers to reschedule the shoot.

Meanwhile, the team is yet to finalize the heroine for the item number, which also contributed to the delay. Several names like Nayan Sarika, Manasa Varanasi, and a Kannada actress were floated. But none was finalized. As a result, the production has come to a brief standstill.

Director Buchi Babu is expected to resume shooting soon and wrap up the remaining songs and patchwork within this month. The makers are keen to avoid further delays.

Given that “Peddi” has already faced multiple postponements, the team is being cautious about announcing a release date. They are expected to reveal a final date only after locking a concrete plan. The film, featuring Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead, has already generated significant buzz and remains one of the most anticipated upcoming biggies.
