Fans insist on September release for ‘OG’

The makers of “OG” have already locked September 25, 2025, as the film’s release date. However, with “Akhanda 2” also eyeing the same date, industry watchers have been anticipating which of the two films might step back to avoid a box office clash.

Interestingly, prior to the release of “Hari Hara Veera Mallu,” fans weren’t particularly fixated on OG’s release date. But things have changed dramatically. Disappointed by the response to “Hari Hara Veera Mallu,” Pawan Kalyan’s fans are now pinning all their hopes on “OG,” a film that has been generating massive buzz and sky-high expectations.

The gangster drama, directed by Sujeeth, has been under production for some time, but anticipation has only grown. At every recent public appearance or film event featuring Pawan Kalyan, fans have been loudly chanting “OG,” underscoring their excitement and support for the project.

With most of the post-production work reportedly completed, fans are urging producer DVV Danayya to stick to the originally announced September release. Ultimately, the final call rests with Pawan Kalyan. 

If he gives the green light, “OG” will hit the screens on schedule, and Balakrishna’s “Akhanda 2” will likely seek an alternative date.
