A decade after “Baahubali: The Beginning” transformed Indian cinema, Prabhas has reflected on the extraordinary impact the film had on his life and career. The actor said the film’s popularity crossed borders and turned him into a globally recognized star.
Speaking in connection with Baahubali: The Torch Bearer, Prabhas recalled being recognized by fans in countries such as Italy and Peru. He said children in Peru even approached him to express their love for Baahubali, making him realize how far the film had travelled.
The actor also shared an incident involving director S.S. Rajamouli, who was identified by a stranger in Norway as the director of Baahubali. According to Prabhas, such moments reflected the magical reach of the franchise across the world.
While grateful for the love, Prabhas joked that the film took away his privacy. He said that wherever he travels now, someone inevitably recognizes him as Baahubali. Ten years on, the film remains one of Indian cinema’s defining landmarks and continues to shape his global image.
