“Gangs of Godavari” collected more than Rs 6 crore in its first weekend, and thereby, the film recovered nearly 80 percent of its theatrical business. This is a huge relief for distributors.
Krishna Chaitanya directed and Naga Vamsi produced “Gangs of Godavari,” starring Vishwak Sen, Neha Sshetty, and Anjali in the main roles, hit theaters on May 31st. With its weekend collections, the film recovered 80 percent of its business, and it is set to achieve break-even in two days.
The film had done Rs 8 crore in business deals prior to its release in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It lessened the burden on distributors by collecting more than Rs 6 crore in the first weekend itself.
