The main films to hit theaters last weekend were “Gangs of Godavari,” “Gam Gam Ganesha,” and “Bhaje Vaayu Vegam.” Among these three, Vishwak Sen’s “Gangs of Godavari” had a higher budget and generated more buzz. As a result, it received higher collection among these three.
The film grossed approximately Rs 6 crore in its first weekend in India. In the United States, it grossed more than $200k. Overall, the collections are respectable for a film of this caliber. Surprisingly, the film received no good reviews or positive word-of-mouth. Nonetheless, it became the top choice this weekend for a variety of reasons.
“Bhaje Vaayu Vegam,” starring Kartikeya, was the best narrated of the three releases, but it did not perform well.
The film “Gam Gam Ganesha” starring Anand Deverakonda was a flop. Overall, the Telugu film industry has struggled to produce a big hit in recent months.
