Godfather Hindi: Salman Khan’s presence hardly helps
Megastar Chiranjeevi starrer ‘Godfather’ took a decent opening on the first day in the Telugu states. The film received a positive response. The collections are not great, but it has chances to stand and gain over the weekend.
Along with the Telugu version, the film’s Hindi version was also released in North India. Salman Khan made a lengthy cameo appearance. Since Salman Khan’s presence in the film, the makers hoped to get additional revenue from the Hindi version.
However, it took a low opening in the Hindi belt. The opening day collection on the first day is just Rs 2 crore nett. Salman Khan didn’t promote the film. It was released without any hype in the Hindi market.
