Actress Kavya Thapar expressed her long-standing aspiration to play the lead role in filmmaker Puri Jagannadh’s movies. Actresses such as Ileana, Asin, Rakshita, and Disha Patani achieved fame as a result of their performances in his films. It is hardly surprising that she desired to be female protagonist in his stories.
She ultimately secured a role in “Double iSmart,” the latest film directed by Puri Jagannadh and starring Ram Pothineni as the protagonist, where she portrayed a fearless and audacious character.
“I portrayed a character with immense strength, audacity, and remarkable boldness. The girl I portray also exudes a distinct innocence. However, she possesses a strong inclination to maintain her own opinions and strong-willed. It is a coveted part that every actress aspires to. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to get this,” she stated.
Additionally, she noted that she encountered difficulty in keeping up with the intensity level of Ram Pothineni, particularly when it came to executing dance moves. Kavya Thapar has previously appeared in films such as “Ek Mini Katha” and “Eagle”. She is set to appear alongside Gopichand in Sreenu Vaitla’s next film “Viswam”.
