Naturally, she received a lot of trolling because she touted her role and the film prior to its release. In a recent interview, Priya Bhavani Shankar stated that she was nearly bullied by fans and her online followers.
“I was extensively trolled for both my character and the film. But, if you ask me, do I regret making this film? The answer is no. Which actress will pass up a film starring the iconic Kamal Haasan and directed by Shankar sir? It’s a huge film, and I have a prominent role. Although many didn’t like it, I wouldn’t hesitate if I were given the same opportunity,” she stated.
