Director Puri Jagannadh has pulled a casting coup. He has already signed acclaimed Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi as the main lead hero in his next film. Now, he has roped in Tabu for a ‘dynamic role.
Today, Puri and his team have welcomed Tabu on board for this project and posted a picture. In the picture, director Puri Jagannadh and co-producer Charmee Kaur were seen sitting on a sofa with Tabu.
The team wrote: “She’s explosive. She’s THE TABU. Proudly welcoming THE GEM OF INDIAN CINEMA, Actress @tabutiful on-board for a ROLE as DYNAMIC as her presence in #PuriSethupathi.”
After the flops of “Liger” and “Double iSmart,” Puri Jagannadh found it hard to convince Telugu stars for his new film, but he reportedly sent an interesting script to both Vijay Sethupathi and Tabu, who have given their agreements.
Both Tabu and Sethupathi are known for their terrific performances and won awards. The film will start rolling soon. This is Tabu’s first Telugu film since the release of “Ala Vaikunthapurramloo,” in which she played Allu Arjun’s mother.
