June 19 releases: Samantha, Harshith Reddy and Rashmika in box-office fray

This Friday (June 19) promises to be an eventful one at the box office, with multiple Telugu and dubbed films arriving in theaters. Samantha’s comeback film leads the pack, while Harshith Reddy and Rashmika Mandanna also have important releases lined up.
Maa Inti Bangaram
Samantha is making her comeback to the big screen after a gap of three years with “Maa Inti Bangaram.” Directed by B.V. Nandini Reddy, the film is also produced by Samantha herself. It marks her first theatrical release after her marriage to filmmaker Raj Nidimoru.
The film has generated strong buzz, and Samantha’s star power is clearly reflected in the advance bookings both in India and North America. Featuring a predominantly female cast, the action drama promises a fresh and distinctive narrative.
Deewana
Harshith Reddy, known for his appearances in short films and supporting roles in movies such as “Shubham” and “Kalki 2898 AD,” takes center stage as the lead hero in “Deewana.”
Backed by Geetha Arts, the film has already held premiere shows and received encouraging responses. Directed by Sreekanth Sangishetty, the romantic drama revolves around a one-sided love story and stars Sneha Manimegalai as the female lead.
Cocktail 2
Rashmika Mandanna is also testing her luck with the release of her latest Hindi film, “Cocktail 2.” Starring Shahid Kapoor in the lead role, the film is a sequel to the blockbuster “Cocktail.”
Touted to be a modern love triangle, the film features Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna as close friends caught in a complicated relationship dynamic. Thanks to its popular cast and franchise value, the film has generated considerable buzz ahead of release.
Other Releases
Veteran actor Vadde Naveen is attempting a comeback with “Transfer Trimurthulu.” However, the film has failed to create much interest due to its low-key promotional campaign. Tamil actor Vijay Antony, who has been consistently releasing films, returns with “Vanda Devullu.” The movie reunites him with director Sasi, best known for “Bichagadu.” A dubbed film titled “Balan” is also hitting theaters this weekend.
