Peddi: Despite losses, crosses another mark in North America

Ram Charan’s “Peddi” has completed 13 days of its theatrical run and continues to add milestones in North America. The sports drama has now crossed the $3.4 million gross mark, further strengthening its position among the highest-grossing Telugu films in the territory.
With this achievement, “Peddi” has climbed to the 12th spot on the list of all-time highest-grossing Telugu films in North America. The film is now just $100k away from surpassing Ram Charan’s previous solo blockbuster “Rangasthalam,” which finished its run with approximately $3.5 million.
However, the impressive gross collections do not translate into profitability.
Trade circles indicate that the film’s overseas distributor is likely to incur losses of around $2 million due to the high acquisition price paid to the producers. As a result, despite emerging as the highest-grossing Telugu film of 2026 in North America, “Peddi” is expected to remain a loss-making venture in the territory.
Top 3 Highest-Grossing Telugu Films in North America in 2026
1) Peddi – $3.40 million
2) Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu – $3.38 million
3) The Rajasaab” – $2.35 million
“Peddi” still has another weekend ahead and may add more numbers to its tally. While its final gross remains to be seen, trade analysts believe the film is unlikely to recover its investment in North America.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana and produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner, “Peddi” is a sports drama featuring Ram Charan as a multi-sport athlete and Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead.
