Keerthy Suresh once considered a runaway wedding!

National Award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh married Antony Thattil in December 2024 in a picturesque destination wedding in Goa. The ceremony was a close-knit family affair, perfectly reflecting her long-held dream of a traditional wedding.

However, Keerthy recently revealed that there was a time when she feared this dream might never come true. The actress had been in a relationship with Antony Thattil for nearly 15 years, and the couple were worried that their families might not approve of the marriage due to their different religious backgrounds.

Recalling those anxious moments in a recent interview, Keerthy shared that they had even considered eloping. “We thought we would be united only by running away and marrying on our own. But when both families agreed to our marriage, it felt like a dream come true,” she said.

The actress further described the emotional highlight of the ceremony. “That is why I cried the moment Antony tied the thaali around my neck. He too cried for the first time in his life. It was the most joyous moment,” she revealed.

On the work front, Keerthy Suresh is currently busy shooting for “Rowdy Janardhana,” in which she stars opposite Vijay Deverakonda.
