‘KGF’ was the defining film in Kannada actor Yash’s career. The film brought him onto the national map of Indian cinema. The makers had already announced the release date for the much-awaited second part titled ‘KGF Chapter 2’.
With the rise in COVID-19 cases, all biggies including ‘RRR’ and ‘Radhe Shyam’ got postponed. Hence, there have been speculations that ‘KGF Chapter 2’ will also change its release date.
But the makers are sticking to their scheduled date – April 14, 2022. Unveiling a brand new poster of the film on the occasion of Yash’s birthday, the makers reiterated the release date.
‘KGF 2’ is the first Kannada film that became a nationwide phenomenon.
With the success of ‘Pushpa’, the craze for pan-Indian movies has gone up further. Trade pundits are betting high on the second part of ‘KGF’, directed by Prashanth Neel.
The film deals with the rise of a boy as a don against the backdrop of Kolar Gold Fields in Karnataka. It is a classic tale of the rise of a hero.
