Speculation began circulating today that Vijay Deverakonda’s “Kingdom” might be postponed, as Pawan Kalyan’s “Hari Hara Veera Mallu” is now eyeing July 4 as its potential release date. With “Hari Hara Veera Mallu” no longer releasing on June 12, July 4 has become the next best option. However, “Kingdom” had already locked in that date long ago.
Given producer Naga Vamsi’s close association with Pawan Kalyan, some speculated that “Kingdom” might step aside to accommodate Hari Hara Veera Mallu.
However, Sloka Entertainments, the distribution firm that acquired the overseas rights to “Kingdom”, has reiterated that the film will premiere in the USA on July 3, as originally announced, to take advantage of the American Independence Day long weekend.
“There is no change in the date,” the company confirmed on social media, adding: “Avasaramaithe Theaterlu Thagalapetteddam.”
“Kingdom” stars Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role and is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri of ‘Jersey’ fame. The film is produced under the Sithara Entertainments banner and marks a crucial release for the actor.
