Krack will only release in theatres: director

There is no secret that Ravi Teja’s ‘Krack’ has already initiated discussions with the ZeeTV group for digital and satellite rights, direct-to-OTT deal. But rumor has it that Zee group, which had not-so-happy experience with producer Tagore Madhu regarding his previous movie ‘Arjun Suravaram’, is not taking the discussion further.

Moreover, the Zee group also has its share of problems like financial crunch.

With several mid-range movies like Nani’s ‘V’, Anushka’s ‘Nishabdham’, and Keerthy Suresh’s ‘Miss India’ planning for direct OTT release, speculations have begun that Ravi Teja’s ‘Krack’ would also opt the same.

Now, director Gopichand Malineni confirmed that ‘Krack’ will only release in theatres. This is a cop drama featuring Ravi Teja and Shruti Haasan in the lead role. Except for one schedule, the film has wrapped up most of its shooting part. The film has Thaman as the music director.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the film’s shooting has been stopped since March 2020. No matter how much it is delayed, we will release ‘in theaters only’, said director Gopichand Malineni.
